At the Supreme Court Patrick John Hofeii was sentenced to six months' imprisonment- on a charge of fraud in respect to certain chattels under a. bill of sale. "William John Knight pleaded guilty to two charges of sheep-stealing, and was remanded for sentence.' Charles Hoggar'd was acquitted on the charge of assaulting John Jlullins, labourer, on the railway line and robbing him of £78. GREYMOUTH, March 16. At. the Supreme Court to-day Joseph Horcroft was sentenced to one • month's imprisonment for failing to keep proper books, Mr Justice Cooper making the sentence lenient in consideration of the state of health of accused and his wife.
