A MILLIONAIRE'S DEATH.
HIS DOCTOR INDICTED. Frew AssecUtion—By Telegraph—Copyrijlt. NEW YORK, March 7. (Received March 7, at 11.30 p.m.) Dr Hydo has been indicted on a charge of murdering Colonel Swope. Eight members of tho family found bail to the extent of £10,000. . It was stated by cablo on February 1 that Colonel Thomas 'Swope, a millionaire philanthropist in Kansas City, died suddenly. Subsequently, owing to a certain rumour, Dr Hervnctt 'Clarko Hyde sued the executor nt Independence, Missouri, for slanderously accusing him of poisoning Colonel Swope, and also Colonel Swopc's nephew, who likewise died suddenly. Tho case took a sensational turn, when it was announced that a, chemical analysis showed. that Colonel Swopo had died from strychnine. In filing his case Dr Hydo further stated thai tho defendant accused him of inooulating members of the Swope family with germs of typhoid, which several had contracted. Dr Hyde, who married Colonel Swopo's niece, attended tho colonel and rther members of his family.
