The High Commissioner cabled from London on December 3 :—" The wool sale, closed very firm, except for heavy merinoes. There was a biisl; denmiul lor all lots scld. The Continent bought largely. _ Market prospects arc favourable. The estimated closing values were : Superior merinoes, Is Id to Is 3d; medium merinos, IOJd to Is Oid; inferior merinos, 8d to lOd; fine" erossbreds, Is 2d to Is -Id; medium Ct'OSSbrods, ll£d to Is 3d; coarse crossbred, lOd to Is. Tire National llorlgajjo and Aecncy Company of New Zealand is in receipt of the following cablegram from ils London office, dakd 3rd inst.:—" November wool sales clos-sd; prices lirrn, on a. par with opening rates. For eresshrcds- (coarse) tbwo is a hardening tendency in the market."
