The City Guards' range boro an unusually animated appearance last- Saturday afternoon on the occasion of the opening match of the shooting ocas-on. Although the wind was at times rather boisterous, a most enjoyable afternoon was spent, tho Battalion Pipe Baud contributing not a little to the general pleasure or tho outing. A match 'was lirod at 500 yds, Members v. Ex-Mem-bers, 10. shots, 12 men to count; also a ladies' match, live shots at 500 yds. The following arc tho scores:—
