FINANCIAL STATEMENT.

BRISBANE, November 18. (Received Nov. 19, at 1.5 a.m. The State Treasurer delivered the Financial Statement to-night. The rovenue for the year was £1,766,214 and the expenditure*£4,7s6,3o3. The estimated revenue for (he current year is £4,837,817, and the estimated expenditure £4,834,041.
The. Treasurer intimated, that if the •financial agreement with tho Commonwealth were ratified the States would have a largely decreased income, neeessitatiii" still firmer control over the expendiluve if new taxation was to be avoided ; but if tlio jTOOTt prospects t-r.iitinucd ho had every confidence that tho Government could _ moat the new - conditions without lilW-acinl inconvenience.
