Seaforth Jones, a lad who had absconded from the -Weraroa Training School, and who admitted several charges of theft, was committed to 'tho ISuriiham Industrial School. Alfred Langley and Roland John Hanger were acquitted on a charge of breaking into a tobacconist's shop at Mafiterton and stealing goods therefrom. Charles Taylor, a young man, found guilty of an unnatural mfenee, was sentenced to 10 years' hard labour, with 25 lashes with Uie cat o' nine tails.

At to-day'ci sitting of the Supreme Court Arthur Parkinson, on charges of false pretences and forgery, was sentenced to three years (indeterminate). The charge of murder against Roberts will be commenced to morrow.
