(Received Fob. 12, at 10 p.m.) The second match between Australia and the Rest of Australia was commenced to-day in fine weather and on an excellent wicket. When ar.ee set Baidsley guve a brilliant display of vigorous batting. He soared oh" everything, despite numerous changes of bowling. Hansford and Maccartney played lively and forceful cricket.
