It was resolved that the Minister of Education bo informed that tho lowest tender exceeded the architect's estimate; that the council is prepared, if the Minister consents, to go Oil with one storey of the now building for the amount provided in the vote, amended, a? suggested to the Minister when in Duncdiji, as regards some of the detail.;; but the council is strongly of opinion that it would ho more economical for lh<? Oovernmovi to provide the additional sum of £400 to erect the two-storey building, being of opinion that the accottrmodaticn will be ahsolutcly neccssary in a very short time.
