There was a large attendance of buyers from America,' England,' and the Continent, and southern and local mills, A feature of the sale was the keen competition for all lots of wool, suitable'for the American market and for the bast qualities of fine crossbreds, prices ranging from 10d' to 12Jd. Coarse crossbreds also showed a considerable rise as, compared with the closing rates of the September sale and equal to the prices obtained'in this market at the December sale of 1907, / The condition of the wool throughout was much better than it was last year.. Tho Mowing is the range of prices.obtained: Fine crossbreds, good, lOd to lijdi medium, 8d to 9|d; inferior, to 7Jd * coarse crossbreds; 7d to BJd; medium' s?d to 7d; pieces, first quality, ''4j|d- to 5Jd; pieces, second quality, 3d'to' locks, lid to sd.\ . \K- V.
