In the Reichstag Herr ■ Molkenbuhr, Social Democrat, mentioning ,the estimate that there were 420,000 unemployed in Germany,.askfid for the establishment,of a system, of State insurance, against, unemployment ait a cost of £11,000,000 annually. Hon- von Bethniann-Hc-llwog (Minister of the Interior) replied that most of the causes of the crisis had .diminished, and that financial conditions had improved. There were 2 7-10 per cent, of the. workers in' Germany unemployed last July, compared with, 8 1-5 per cent, in England and 8 1-10 per cent, in France.
