Sin,—ln your issue of the 23rd inst. is a stalcmen,t which is reportod to liavo been made by the Kcv. Air Thomson—viz., that Mi- T. K. Taylor pulled down the wages of the working men in Christchu-rch. This statement is absolutely devoid of foundation, and I protest very strongly against the circulation of sueli a malicious slander.
