AUCKLAND CELEBRATIONS. THE "FLEET" TRAIN, (Frou Qua Ok:; Cohresegndeht.) WELLINGTON. August 2. It is expected that the train which will convey the parliamentary partv over the Main Trunk lino to Auckland for the fleet, festivities will leave Wellington at 10.30 on Friday evening. It is hoped to reach Auckland tthouf. 6 o'clock on Saturday evening, hut it will possibly be later in, the evening liefore tJio train arrives at its journey's end. It is stated that no special facilities will la .given to the public to visit Auckland by way of the Main Trunk linn during fleet weok. It has been suggested that excursion rates might- bo allowed on the completed portions of the lines leaving people lo use the ordinary coach service for the intervening distance. It is thought, however, that the coach service could not copo with the crowd of persons who would probably take advantage of this opportunity if offered, and, further, it is felt that a largo passenger traffic wou)3 retard work on the line. The special parliamentary train will be available only for Ministers and members with their wives and families, and a few other official persons.
