Nearly £800 lias been subscribed by tbo citizens to reward tlio tramway men who remained loyal to tho Government. Mrs Kenna, secretary to the Tailoreases' Union, was arrested for calling a tramdriver "a scab." Sho is out 011 bail. STRIKERS RESUME DUTY; SYDNEY, July 30. (Received July 30, at 10 p.m.) Tile bulk of the strikers have resumed duty, and the normal tram service has been restored. The caee against Mrs Kama was dismissed. All the men at Newcastle were reinstated, except five members of the local branch of the Tramway Union, whoso reinstatement has been postponed pending an inquiry. J DEBATE IN PARLIAMENT. SYDNEY, July 30. Mr Meagher's amendment condemning tlio Government for its attitude on tho strike and tho system of espionage in tlie Tramway department, was negatived by 47 to 30.
