DIPLOMATIC CHANGES
Press Association—By Telegraph-Copyright. LONDON, July 29;' It is officially announced that Sir Jamea Rennell Redd, the British Minister in fchyeden, succeeds Sir E. H. Egertou, Minister to Italy, in December next. The Right Hon. Sir Edwin Henry Egerton has been ambassador to Italy since 1904. Like most ambasadors, he entered the diplomatio service early. Ho joined in 1859, and became seoretary of legation at Buenos Aires in 1879. Since then he has represented Britain in Greece, Egypt, Turkey,/ and Erance. His 'successor at Rome, Sir Jatnte Rennel) Rodd, is also a diplomat of long standing, having entered the service in 1883. Ho has been Minister Plenipotentiary to Sweden since 1901. Hi? academical career was not without distinction, as he won tlio Newdigato prize at Oxfofd in 1880. His writings in prose and verse are numerous.
