ROSLYN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual business meeting of the congregation of the . Roslyn Presbyterian Church was held last evening, tlio Kev. James Chisholm presiding. The animal report and balanoe sheet, a summary of which has already been published, was adopted by the meeting. A motion recommending the Deacons' Court to consider the desirability of adopting the envelope 6ystem of'collecting the Slistentafcion Fund was unanimously agreed to. The treasurer (Mr H. S. Wright) explained that owing to the erection of the manse and the payment of part of the Synod grant the expenditure for the coming year would' lie rcduced by about £60. Mr 11. Chisholm and Captain Strang, in the course of some remarks, said tho congregation was to be congratulated on the progress msdo during the comparatively short time it had ■been in existence. A number of new sittings had been taken, and the outlook was very promising. ST. PAUL'S, OAMARU. (From Our Own Cohhespondent.) OAMARU, July 30. The annual meeting of members of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church was held on Wednesday evening. Tho session report disclosed a mombership of 427; which was a few less than last year, a number of members having loft O'ainaru. The manager's report remarked upon a dooline in the chief sources of- revenue amounting to £80, but mentioned that over that amount was in arrears for seat rents. Contributions total- • ling- £113 had been devoted to missions, in addition to which a box worth £23 had been sent to the New Hebrides. Tho expenditure included £361- spent, on the new church at Eveline, of which £300 had been met by tho issue of debentures, while £150 of it would bo met shortly by the grants from Synod and the Church Board of Property.
