ACCIDENT AT PORT CHALMERS

- & , YOUNI! MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED. A serious accident befell a young man named Dudley Y. Hood, ageil 21 years, on board the steamer Ka-ifangata shortly before 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. On inquiry at the Hospital Inst, evening wo were informed that. Mr Hood had sustained a fracture of the base of the skull, and is in » critical condition.
