CRIMINAL CHARGES

(Per United Press Association.) PALMERSTON N„ May 12. The court, in awarding the maximum sentence, said that, considering the prevalence of robberies in the Dominion and the recent epidemic in Palmereton, it was desirable 1o make an example. Alexander M'Donald, for theft and forgery, received six months; Frederick William Jones, for several forgeries, got two years; William George Tustin, breach of tho bankruptcy law, six months, to date from November 18 last, prisoner to be treated as a. misdemeanant ot the first division; Ernest Wehreicdt, for theft, two years, 01IR1STCHUKCH, May 12.
