With a vie-v to promoting the health ot schoo children, the South Canterbury Board of Education, at its meeting today, passed a resolution asking the local authorities throughout the district to assist in the fumigation of schools whenever the latter were closed for Ihe holidays. The board also resolved to seek an amendment of the Education Act, with a view to making it compulsory to report to the teachers direct whenever a. case of infectious disease occurred in a family, children from which are attending a school.
