Judgment t was given for plaintiffs for the amounts claimed, with costs, iu the following undefended cases:—Brown, Ewing. and Co. (Mr D. Cooke) v. James Farrant (Queenstown), claim £"8 Ss 2d, for goods supplied (costs £1 3s Gd); Phcetiix Company v. T. B. Gibb (Oamuru). claim £18 'is. Id, for goods supplied (costs 15s); Johnston, Sous, and Co. {Mr Bumartl) v. James Davidson (Hinds), claim £212 a Gd, for goods supplied (costs £1); Loeblifcad (Ltd.) (Mr Burnard), v. Thomas Home aud Jane Horne (Wendonside), olaint £4, for hire of sowing machine (costs 19s); Henry Gore (Mr Ewing) v. Henry Grant (Waikaremoana, Hawke's Bay), olalm £10 10s, for money lent (costs £2 lfl* Gd). George But el (Waitati) v. Michael Michelson. jun. (Purakanui), claim £7 10s :id, for timber supplied and delivered.—Mr Hanloii appeared for plaintiff.—After evidence bad been hoard his Worship gave judgment for plaintiff for tho amount claimed, with costs (£2 12s).
Charlotte A. Liggins v. Franci3 A. Newman, claim £5 or possession of a carpet alleged to have been wrougfully detained by defendant, and £2 damages for detention of tho said carpet.—Mr Moure apnenred for plaintiff and Mr Stephens for defendant.—After Ihe hearing of evidence, judgment was given for defendant, with costs (£1 ss). to he paid out of the scparato estate of plaintiff.—On announcing tho decision of the court his Worship Raid that the dispute was the result of unbusinesslike method?? on the part of plaintiff, who couUl quite easily have avoided tho court proceedings.

'Robert Joli'iston anil llary Johnston, claim £35 19a Ekl on aa account stated uml sgTood upon.—Mr IJurnord appeared for nJaintiffp and Mr Bedford for defendants.—Robert Johnston confessed liability, and after ovidencc had been heard jndjiment was given for plaintiff a3 against defendant Robort Johnston on confession, and for the defendant JJrs Johnston, with costs (£i 2s) against ( plamtiffs.
