Tho Budget showed that the past year ended with a surplus of £297,673, Among the prime causes of the surplus was an increase of nearly 6000' in the population, while the number of marriages was the largest evel - recorded.
The development' in the mining and 1 agricultural interests was also an important contribution to the prosperity of the State. .
