THE PRICE OF FLOUR.
JTO THE EDITOR. SiH.-Onco more is that much-malicned body tho Millers' Association misrepresented by "A Hater of All Trusts "-so much so that, though in no way interested in the milk of the colonv, but desirous only of seeing "fair play," I append tho following, so that your readers may judge for themselves. Go back to a date when no millers' association existed and the price of flour is the fame as to-day's price, and what do we find? November, 1895—Flour. £10 105: wheat. 4s 3d. November, 1896—Flour £12; wheat, 4s 9d. To-day-Flour. £1(5 Ids: wheat, 4s 3d—all average price f.0.b., sacks in. To-day the public, on a 4s 9d market price for wheat, is paying 30s per ton less for Hour thai it did 11 years ago. Comment is hardly necessary.—l am, etc, iIOXMTY.
