(Pep. United Pbess Association.) AUCKLAND, ■ September 6. The Auckland Flourmillers' Union passed a resolution depressing alarm at tbe proposal, to abolish the-duty on flour, urging the Government not to permit such a monstrous and suicidal policy.

The following protest has been sent to the Minister .of . CustomsWo, tho undersigned bagmakors, view with grave concern the removal of the duty on flour, as it will most seriously affect our trade.
