FATAL ACCIDENT.

Thomas Murray, who overbalanced himself while ascending the stairs of the Gladstone Hold on Wednesday night and foil to the floor' below, a. distance of fully 20ft, died in the Hospital at 11 o'clock yesterday morning. When removed to the Hospital on Wednesday night ho was in a fomatose condition, and never showed signs of regaining consciousness. It is conjectured that the cause of death was compression of the brain, due to a fracture at the base of the skull. A post mortem examination will be made this morning and an inquest held this afternoon.
