An inquest touching the death of Annio Nixon, 64 years of ago, who was found dead in, bed on Tuesday, was held yeeterday before Mr C. C. Graham, coronor, and tho usual jury. Robert Nixon, a son of deceased, said his mother; who lived at 8 York place, had been complaining for a number of years of heart trouble, She had been an outdoor patient at tho Hospital, anil had been treated for her eyes only. 1-Ie had seen her on Monday, when she appeared to bo in her usual state of health. Dr Roberts said ho had examined the body at the house. Deceased's face was purple, a.ml rigor mortis was fully developed. Dvath had probably occurred ,10 hours previously at least. lie held a-post mortem, and found that deceased was suffering from general dropsy in. tho abdominal _ and chest cavities. She was. also .suffering frota degeneration of the heart. Ho was of opinion that heart, failure was the cause of death. A verdict was returned in accordanco with the medical evidence.
