SLAUGHTERMEN PINED, (Per United Press Association.) - At a. ' • September 4. At the Arbitration Court to-day the coses against tho Smithfield and Parcora slaughtermen for striking in February last were dealt with. Twenty-two Smithfield men out of 42 cited wero fined £5 each, liio rest had not been served or were not actually concerned in the strike. Most of tho 41 Parcora butchers were stated to have left for. Australia before the proceedings were instituted. A few wero excused as not having been concerned in the strike, and. of tho rest only six had been served with the summons by registered letter, and these wero fined £5 each. The hncsl woro made payable to the Inspector of Factories. Mr J. 'W.
