Tho ceremony ot installation and investiture of 1 tlio W.M., Bro. G. D. Wright, anil officers of Lodge ' Otago, No. 844, 12.C.,..wa5> held in the Masonic Hall last evening.. The inf-tallatian of/ the W.M. and' investiture ■of officers'was conducted by R.W, Bro. T. Sherlock ; Graham, D.G.M., E.C., .-assisted-by ; R.W. 'Bro. Jas.-Gore, D.G.Mr,. s:c.," iuv. Bri. •C. ; J.' Eona&Qn, GKuidSupt. Otago, NiZ.C.,- W, . Bro, A. Bagley, P.S.D.G.W.. 8.C., under the directorship of W. Bro. W. Cr. Somerville, ' P.D.G., Treasurer. Grand Lodge officers representing the varioug sister constitutions wero also present, together with "a very largo attendance of members, visitors, and sojourning brethren. R.W. Bro. J. C. lloiialdson invested) and .installed the officers for "thoensiling term in his accustomed felicitous manner, and the customary. address to tho licwly-iiutalle:! W.M. was made by R.W. Bro. T. S. Graham... R.W. Bro. James Gore addressed -the wardens, and the address to the, assembled brethren \yas delivered by W. Bro. A. Bagley, P.S.D.G.W., E.C. At tho conclusion of the ceremony R.W. Bro. Graham, on behalf of the lodge, presented the'l.P.M. with a past master's jewel, and P.M. Bro. C'oss presented the retiring secretary (Bro. J. S. Webb) with ;t jewel, as tokens of appreciation for their past services. At tlio conclusion of the ceremony the'.brethren were entertained at a banquet in the scciol hall, where n sumptuous repast, combined with the usual Masonic and lqya-1 toasts formed a fitting finale to tbo ceremony.
