COLLISION IN HAURAKI GULF.
(Per Dotted Press Association.) ■ AUCKLAND,- September 3. A collision occurrod in Hauraki Gulf last night between the Northern Company's steamer ; Clansman and the scow Herald, resulting uv slight damages to the litter vessel. Both' wore- bound north. Tho ' Herald returned to Auckland this morning for examination, which 6howed that only' the chain plates forward were damaged. ' Aftor tho collision tho Clansman relumed to thp scow, and finding that tho damage, was small went on her passage, norlii. ■
