EGG-LAYING COMPETITION.

The following' is the result of the third egg-laving competition in connection with the Utility Poultry Club at Lincoln College for the week ended August 30:—Tho total number of eggs laid to date is 13,781, and for tho wcclc 1221. The best totals lor tho week were: W. Forrest (black Orpingtons), : 37; H. Hawko (silver Wyandottes), 35; D.- Sturrock' (black- Orpingtons), 35; W. Woofenden (silver 'Wyandotte), 35 :. J. (black Orpingtons), 34; Miss Rita Nixon (white Leghorns), 33; Allan Petrie (white Leghorns), 32; W. Knight (black Orpingtons), 31; R. H. Milliken (black Orpingtons), 31; H. C. Lane (silver Wyandottes), 30; D. M. Peek (black Orpingtons), 30; F. G. Brittan (white Leghorns), 30; W. A. Nixon (white Leghorns), 30. The following ore the best aggregates: W. Knight'(black Orpingtons), 406; T. . Kennedy (silver Wyandottes), 398; Allan Petrio (white Lejhoms), 395: W. Forrest (blaok Orpingtons), 393; H. Knight's block Orpingtons, with 412. eggs, Mr T. Kenendy's silver Wyandottes 'being second' with 403, and Mr Allan Petrie'e white, Leghorns third with | 399. The prizes amount to.£lo.
