-(Received Sept. 2, at- 9.15 p.m.) The (leath of Sir Lewis M'lver (L.U), number of tho House of Commons, is announced.
Sir Lewis M'Tvcr ivas born in 1846. He served in Hie Madras civil service from 1868 until 1834, and represented Torquay in the House ot Commons in 1885-86. Ho was ejected to represent Edinburgh AY est. in llay, 1895, and had retained Ilie scat ever since. Ho was called to the Bar, Middle Temnlo, in 1878. and was created a baronet in 1596. i
