PRESBYTERIAN SUNDAY SCHOOLS' ASSOCIATION.

"What is hoped will prove a real forward i movement has been inaugurated by the newly-formed Sunday Schools' Association. The first mooting of the executive was held on Monday night, and the eager enthusiasm displayed by members augurs well for a very useful career. Mr A. Bum (president) was in the chair, and brought forward proposals for tho active campaign entered upon. A rally of all Presbyterian Sunday school teachers is> arranged to be held in St, Andrew's Church on July 15, when the Hev. Dr Waddell will deliver a lecture on "The Use of the Imagination ip Sunday School teaching." The work was divided into different sections, and conveners appointed to each—Mr Begg of tho committee on attendance and extension. Mr Reid of teachers' training, Miss M'Cracken of foreign missions, Mr 1). Todd of the home department, Mr John Tcdd of ovangelistic work. Eacli convener will report to tho executive, and all suggestions will be handed on to the schools. Monthly reports will bo sent to the affiliated schools, and thus the executive hopes to keep in touch with all the teachers. A preliminary circular is being issued to arouse interest-. The great objects of the association will he to stimulate interest in Sunday school work to educate the Church as to its value, to press for more efficient, schools and apparatus, and to seek to impress in every way tho community with tho value of, and tho opportunity of usefulness through, the Sunday schools.
