"todav-as to whether Syrian shophecpere who have cheap trinJ;e!s ami orrvients for sale can be called' jeweller*, and so have to observe the Mine hours :>.> jewellers. The magistrate held that in the ca<m in point the Syrian was not a jeweller, and was not affected by tho Gazette notice re jewellers' hours. The ca«e was dismissed.
