THE DRUCE CASE.
Press Association—By Telegraph-Copyright. LONDON, April 29. (Received Apfil 29. at 10.57 p.m.) The New Zealand witness in the Druce ease has recovered her missing diary atthe bottom of her luggage, where it was overlooked. The trial is expected to take place in the autumn.
A recent- cablegram slated that tho New Zealand.witness in the Druce case alleged that while on the voyage from New Zealand he- luggage was opened in the hold, and some letters from Charles Dickens bearing on tho Portland case, also -a led»or, were stolen. Mr G. 11. Druce, the. claimant! declared it to be the second time valuable letters had been extracted from the luggage ol his witnesses.
The witness from New Zealand is a lady who ut (ine time was secretarv to tho fifth Duke of Portland. It is slated that she will supply sensational evidence.
