THE HARBOUR. BOARD'S BY-LAWS.
AN OLD CLAUSE RE-ENACTED.
The Dunedin Harbour Board was occupied for some considerable time 011 tho 25th in a discussion arising out of the report of the Special Committee set up to report on tho following motion by Mr Bullock. The committee recommended as follows: — " That clause 76 of the. by-laws as brought into force ott Ist October, 1905, be incorporated in tho new liy-lawe." Your committee approves of tho motion and recommends tho clause as under to be incorporated in tho new by-laws:—"The maxi mum chage on :tny 0110 1 vessel for port charges, pilotage, and harbourmaster's fees, both inwards and outwards, shall not exceed £180 on any one visit, and in the cafe of a foreign steamer calling twice at the port on one Voyage such maximum charge shall not cxceed £200." After an animated discussion the report was adopted.
