AUCKLAND, April 16. A petition, signed by half of the crow of tho To Aroha, has been forwarded to tho Minister of Marino asking "him to proceed, under scotion 224 of tho Shipping and Seamen Act, against'all responsible for the •vessel going to sea in an unseaworthy condition.
At a, meeting of the Auckland Traces and • Labour, Council this evening it was decided to urge on the Minister of Marine tlio necessity for making the fullest investigation into the circumstances surrounding tho foundering of tho To Aroha, and also, when • tho Minister comes to Auckland, to wait upon him and aslc that a royal oominission : bo set up to inquire info tho seaworthiness of veasola registered nnd trading in.
