AGRICULTURAL CONFERENCE.
PROPOSED ROYAI, SHOW. (Per United Phes3 Association.) CHRIST'dIUUCH, April 11. The A and P. Association held a meeting yesterday when delegates from the Agricultural Conference recommended that resolutions be submitted to the Agricultural Conference—(l) That tho Government be asked to contribute the sum of £1000, to be given to the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association and the .Manawahi Agricultural and Pastoral Association in each alternate year, this sum to be added to the prize fund of the above associations for the purpose of holding a royal show; (2) that it is 'desirable that the Government establish an experimental farm in Canterbury. The resolutions were adopted.
