RABBIT EXPORTING.
Sm,—l entirely agree with "Farmer" that, the rabbits in some parts were greatly reduced in numbers (liirinpr the. lost- year or two by their'natural enemies, the stoats, though I suspect the wet seasons 'were partly responsible for theiv destruction. was a favourable one, and the districts infested with stoats and other vermin arc furnishing fair weekly cheques to industrious trappers. However, wc will let tlio stoats do their best; in the'meantime the rabbits, have become very numerous. Why waste them ? Why not increaso the circulation of money in itlie colony by employing trappers to turn them into cash? Thcro arc many fanners who would never have acquired laud if they had not been previously trappers, and the work has put many a- poor man out of debt.
My solo contention is that while we have the rabbit it should bo made of use. —I am, etc., A. F. E. April 4.
