(Pee United Phess Association.) CHRISTOHURCH, March 2b. William Thorn, employed bv .Tames Bell at Akaroa, is reported lo bo missing, and a search party is out. lie is said to have gone out shooting on Suntlav with a friend'' named llayward. They separated, and later Hayward- heard threo shots in quick succession from the direction in whicli Thorn went. He could find 'no tracc of Thorn, and not having been heard of 6inco- a search has been organised for tho missing
