Donald M'Ooirald, charged with forging and uttering a- for £s'2a.at Nightcaps in 1905, was befovo the court here on Saturday morning, and remanded to InvercargUl. The auoused has been having a good time here, and, posing as a man of meaas, lie is said to have kept a comnussion agent busy looking up properties for him. ■ . , , The collection which was made m Oaraaru on Ambulance Satmday is likely to produce a totiil sum not far short of £300, which is considerably more than wm ever anticipated. Tho waggon will bo easily procured, and the Ambulance Brigado will liavo a very useful margin loft. Thcro is every prospect that the Easter bowling tournament at Oamaru will be as great a. success as in the past. Though the 64 entries of last year will not be reached, ■an entry of fully 50 rinks as cxpected. Tho three greens are in good order, tho new Phcenix Green having improved a good deal isince last year.
