Rifleman Arthur JJallingcr, oi the Polone Rillo Club, who v,on llio rifle championship of the colony at the veccnt Trentliam meeting, and his brother William, an oxchampion, wcro banqueted at Bellevue Gardens to-night. Tlio Acting Minister of Defence, Colonel Collins, a nil members of the Legislature were present. Having won the belt thrice, it becomes the property cf Mr Arthyr Ballingcr, luit he lias generously presented tho trophy to the Defence jj'orco Kille Association*tor competition at future gatherings, and it will, us heretofore, go with tho championship.
