His Hxecllency . the Governor is having splendid weather for,his excursion to liio Franz Josef , Glacier in Smith Westland He had a hearly reception from the people ali the way south. Ho was presented witli a loyal address, and was entertained at luncheon at Ross; at Walaroa lie was presented with a poetic address, and escort-:■! by a large cavalcade of horsemen aurl women to the glacier region. To-da.v is being spent on the ice. Air Alex. Graham being guide. I-lis Exeelloucy will start on bis return journey to-morrow, reaching flokilika on Wednesday. On that evening liisi Excellency will he present at a meeting of the _ West Coast Lodges of Freemasons. II is expected there will be a large gathering. .
