WORK IN FREEZING CHAMBERS.
IMPROVED CONDITIONS FOR WORKERS. (Per United Press Association.) ■_ WELLINGTON. March 25. Hie \\ ellingtoii Meat Export Company is making an important concession to it's workmen engaged in (tie freezing chambers. In order that the men mav go about their work with more comfort, 'than has been the case in the past the company has decided to supply tliem with strong denim overalls (waterproof) and mittens and long overall boots. The latter is a novelty designed by Mr Hutehejon. exM.H.R., the legs being of canvas and the solo of several thicknesses of felt sewn between canvas. Formerly the men used to wrap pieces of sacking round their lioots. The new boots will bo very warm and non-slipping.
