Chafi".—The quantity coming forward is sufficient to supply present requirements, and values arc unchanged. Prime oaten sheaf has most inquiry, ar.d is faleable at fi 15s lo £3. Medium quality is not in such good demand at £1 to £t 10s. Interior and straw chaff is slow of sale at £2 15s to £3 15s por ton (bags extra). Pressed Straw—Oaten has fair demand at 55s to 60s, but whealcn is in over-supply, and sells at 42s to 45s per ton. Turnips—Several trucks to hand sold at 35s per ton (loose). Speeding, at his rooms yesterday, of two city freehold properties in tho estate of the laio William Harrop, the sale being by order of tho Public Trustee. There was a very largo attendance, and competition war, teen. Part of sections 41 nnd 58, block XXIX, Albany street, with a five-roomed house, also two -three-roomed cottages thereon, started at : £500, and, utter spirited bidding, was purchased by Mr D. 1!, White for £650.
