PROFESSOR OP LAW. (Put Ukitsd Press Association-.) VKI.LIXIiTOX. March 22.. The professorship of law at tho Victoria College, vacant by the resignation of Professor Salmond, has been offered by tho Council of the College to Professor Maclaurin. who has notified his acceptance. Professor Maclaurin resigns his present professorship of mathematics, but will be, -appointed professor of astronomy, and will hold that, oflice together with that of head of tho faculty of law, assuming his new duties at tho commencement of the second term of the present year.
