NEW NOVELS.
Messrs Alston, Rivers have in preparation a new volume by Miss' JJargaret Bowen. author of " Tho Viper of Milan," entitled "The Leopard and the Lily.' 1 The Atlantic Monthly contains the first instalment- of a new Jnovel called "The Helpmate,'' h.v Miss MaJ- Sinclair, whoso "Divine Fire" won her such iui eiiviable reputation. Mr Max X'emberton's new rovel "The Diamond Ship.'" will he published by Messrs Casseli and Co. "A Bunch of Blue.Ribbons" is the title of a novel by Mr George Morley, which will be published shortly by Mr Alston Rivers. The scenes of tte story are laid in Shakespeare's country. Mr Horace A. Vachell's new rovel, "Her Son," will be published shortly by Mr John Murray. This story has already been dramatised. Messrs Brown, Lar.ghani, and Co. have several novels ready for early publication., These include "The Barony of Krendon," by ]'I. H. Llicon. Watson; "Nancy's Manoeuvres," by Charles Gleig, author'of "Munter's Cruise"; "Fortune's Fool," bv Dr Fred Wynne: '' The Feast of Bacchus," by Ernest 0. Henliaiii; " One or Two," liy Mrs J-'verett. (Tlieo Douglas); and "The Builders," by W. (1 Emerson. The last is a story of mining life which, has had aconsiderable success in America.
