EXPLOSION ON THE JENA

Bos, the reporter for the French Naval Estimates, blames the Ordnance Department for disregarding winnings extending over five years respecting the decomposition of tho powder 'on the battleship Jena. He declares that other vessels havo not changed their powder tor 13 years. March 21. (Received March 21, at 9.55 p.m.) 11l the French Chamber the Minister of Marino announced that/the Senate had accepted the appointment of a Parliamentary Committee to inquire into the Jena explosion. He declared that the committee of officers was inclined to attribute the disaster to electric short circuit and. not to the decomposition oi the ammunition. He added that tne ammunition was overhauled in September.
