MAORI HILL BOROUGH COUNCIL.

The monthly meeting of tho Maori Hilt Borough Council, held last evening, was attended by the Mayor (Mr S. If. Brown;, Crs Duncan, Butler, Harbour, Smith, Pilkington,' BuUcrfickt, French, and Booth. Wills for the sanitary contract in South and East Wards was accepted at £190 per annum. Tho Finance Committee reported the bank balance (credit) £34 lis Sd, and recommended that accounts amounting to £275 10s Sd bo passed for payment, and that rate? amounting to £22 Os 2Jd be w.ritfen off.--Adopted. The town clerk was authorised to write to tlio City Council asking it to reticulate certain streets in the borough in view of the prospect of buildings being erected in the vicinity immediately.
