CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR CONVENTION.
Tho junior rally in connection with the annual convontion of the Christian Endoaivour Union was held list night in (ho GVffill Road Methodist Church. Tho Rev. T. Trcstrail occupied flio chair, and' all the various junior societies wore well represented. A most, instructive and ;ifc the same time entertaining item in connection with tho xathoring was tho construction of tho C.E. lighthouso by a number of junior .Christian Kmleavourers. The lighthouse, which reflected Ihn greatest credit on Ihoso young people responsible for its erection, -.stood, when complete, 18ft high. The foundation boro the inscription, "Christ the Rook," the blocks making up the pillar braving iho words: "Prayer," "Missionary," "Temperance." "Bible," "Music," "Sunshine," and "Light." The whole wus surmounted by a revolving light. Axeleon delivered aji appropriate- address (o tlio yoiing people which was much appreciated, busing his remarks on Iho work of tho children.
