BAY TOWN BOARD.
o Tlio monthly meeting of the Bay Town Board was held on Monday evening, the members present being Messrs John MacGregor (in the chair). Thomas Somervillc, John Wither, Thonias Pryor, Daniel M'Cnrdy, and R. J. Barrett. The Health Officer wrote asking the board to use its influence in inducing the residents 1o undertake a general.clean-up in and about their premises.—Messrs Piyor, Wither, and M'Curdy were appointed to look into tho matter and report at next meeting, and Messrs "Wither, M'Curdy and Barrett were appointed to go into the matter of the disposal of rubbish and nightsoil. Messrs Walden and Barton for;vafded plans of present offices with alterations, 'and plan! of a new Town Hall, and after some discussion -the plans were deferred for consideration. Messrs Park, Reynolds, and Co. forwarded plan of road passing through Messrs Hunt and Smith's subdivision, and intimated' that the road would bo completed on {lie 6th inst., and asked the board to make the 'necessary arrangements to have the road inspected and pased before its next meeting.—Messrs M'Curdy and Wither were appointed to inspect tho roatT, and if satisfied to affix tlie seal of tho board to tho plan. Mr H. Hodgc3 intimated to tlio clerk that he would like the board to put a bridge across the creek near his property, Gresham's subdivision.—lt was agreed that iliis ho left in tlio hands of Mr Wither. Messrs Wither and Pryor were instructed to get estimates for concrete channelling of Main road and for metalling \and earthing Ross's Corner, etc. The clerk was directed to write tho town clerk, Dunedin, pointing out tho danger a< night .of tlio cars rounding Ross's Corner, an« ask that a light be placed there.
