ROSLYN TRAM ELECTRIC LINE.
Sir,—lt is difficult to understand why Mr Thomson should have written as he did in your issue of Thursday. It is well known to several members of tho Borough Council that ears havo tacn "driven at excessive speed for some tiiiio past, and many of tho residents havo complained of the dangerous practice. As Mr Thomson lives in Clyde street, ho may not bo aivaro of tho fact, but the writer has, more than oneo, seen cars driven at a rate more liko that of an ordinary train, and the locality may as well be indicated—viz., between Bishopscgurt And Newingion. If the practice is not stopped, tho charges will be delinito and specific enough to satisfy Mr Thomson and all others 'concerncd.—l am, etc., Rosly.v Councillor.
