Tho usual fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Hand and Heart Lodge, M.U., was held on Tuesday evening, N.G. Bro. U. C. Allnutt presiding. . The lodge received a visit from the district officers, when th'o N.G. took the opporlimity to congratulate Pro. Treasurer Bro. Uobin on the appearance of his photo and a short sketch of his life in the Oddfellows' Magazine of the World. P.G.M. Bro. Black replied on behalf of the district to the third toast, as also did N.Gv Bro, Cooper (Loyal Duncdin Lodge); and P.G. Bro. Smith (Loyal Albion Lodge) replied on behalf of the visitors. .One candidato was' elected and initiated. N.G. Bro. Allnutt informed the members that they were to meet the members of the Loyal Caversham Lodge in a card tournament on the next lodge night; also, that he would hold a degree meeting at the lodge room on the 25th hist. , The usual fortnightly meeting of the Antidote Division 118, Sons and Daughters of Temperance, was held on Monday evening, Sis. J.' Johnson presiding. One candidate was initiated. The half-yearly reports of the secretary, licasurer, and auditors wero read, showing the- division to be in a very rrospetous position, despite the iact of the calls on tlio sick and (uncial fund being heavy, Tho total funds of the division are £4-269 7s Sd— equal to £21 lGs Sd per brother.and £12 S9 2id per sister, being an increase for the halfyear of 8s per brother and 4s per sister.
